2008: The year of magazine subscriptions and other "Free" things!

I recently was invited to the wedding of my dear friend and former longterm roommate in Chicago. It came with short notice, but I wouldn't miss her wedding for the world. So, I turned in 15,000 flyer miles and paid $10.00 in cash for a roundtrip ticket to California at the end of the month. Amazing! Even more amazing to me is that I still have 30,000 miles to use in the future. I am planning to use them next summer for my 30th birthday-world-tour-adventures! More blogging to come later on that.
Today, while pondering how amazing frequent flyer miles are, I looked up my miles from other airlines. Not convinced I will ever have enough miles for a free ticket I was plesently surprised to see I can use them for magazine subscriptions! 2008 will be the year of post office boxes filled with these titles! I am looking forward to reading, creating, and maybe learning many new things this year!
